WDW Trip Report Day 4: Guided Fishing Excursion

If you have ever wanted to go on a guided fishing excursion at Walt Disney World I will present you with some knowledge. It can be a fun in the sun adventure if you love to fish and the outdoors. You typically wake up at 9AM and meet up with your guide at the resort around 10AM and off you go, the resorts vary.

Contemporary Resort Docks

This time we met up at the Contemporary Resort Docks.

They go over a few basic rules then you launch out. I’ve been three times on this excursion. The first two times were awesome, the feeling of being VIP cruising through Seven Seas Lagoon and around the resorts is amazing and refreshing while in Florida.

mini jet boats

Screw the fishing guide, I wanted to go on a mini jet boat so bad!

Our last adventure our guide Sean was a total asshole, don’t know how he even has this job. If you get a good guide everything is awesome and fun, usually they bait your hook, help you cast, teach you the good spots, etc. This guy was like a lazy piece of shit who didn’t say or help worth a shit, and then when we asked he was just was so apathetic it was useless to even bother. However we still had a great time. It costs around $300 for 2-5 people for 2 hours and then your suppose to tip your captain as well. Check out the photos below for the fishing adventure.

They had some small breakfast items ready before hand.

Off we go! The views you get from the fishing journey are pretty awesome and unique.

This is Sean, Sean is a piece of shit. Hopefully you don’t book him, make sure you don’t get a guide named Sean.

We got some awesome views of the abandoned Discovery Island

Total EPICness. Spotting the abandoned River Country was the highlight of my trip.

I mean how cool is that, just imagine the 70s, this place was a hot spot!

This is what it looks like most of the time, well this rare occasion we asked our guide to help us.

You can catch some monsters!

Spotted the old entrance to Discovery Island

Headed back in after two hours of fishing. I caught like 5 whaaaat?!

Final Review is if your like fishing or want to do some outdoor adventure with your family, or even by yourself. I’d totally recommend the guided fishing trips. They are peaceful and allow you some time to collect your thoughts in the madness crazy world of Disney. You forget where your at at some points. The views are also 5 star anywhere from the boat. Now were off to Animal Kingdom!
