But first let’s drive on property and have a feast at Boma.. which they totally hook me up with gluten free mickey mouse waffles which is legit.

The Grand Caribe Resort
Since we were rolling with a family of 15 this time around it was a lot more feasble to stay off property and the grand caribe had all the offerings of two bedroom family suites to fit our needs. The hotel itself is large, awesome, and had great amenties and awesome suites that fulfilled our needs. All within a mile from Disney property it worked out perfectly even though we were not in our room ever unless to sleep!
Walking into the lobby it smelt like Christmas!

Been looking over a bunch of abandoned Disney projects and I’m going to start every week with posting one of their rides that is discontinued or a project they simply abandoned. However I will start with something on the same topic that is a fake Disneyland park!
It was built in 1961 and only closed in 2006! It’s really creepy and eerie, especially now that it’s abandoned take a look. They closed due to low visitor numbers after the official Disneyland Tokyo opened up. I’d probably go if I was in Japan, could be a fun adventure or a scary one. Also check out the youtube vid. Also Happy Birthday to Walt Disney World!
The entrance is almost identical to Disneyland. Both parks has the Sleeping Beauty Castle, a Main Street, a monorail and an Autopia-type ride, but there are some other similarities, too.

I spent a few minutes searching the web for movies that the man Walt Disney was directly involved in while he was alive, aka which tv shows did he voice Mickey Mouse, and what movies did he produce, direct etc. I couldn’t find much except one website that has been down since 2011 but found a cached version. This is interesting stuff because now I can watch only movies that he personally was apart of to get more of a feel who he exactly was. If you have not seen the American Experience documentary on Walt Disney you need to watch it on PBS’s website, it’s free and in HD if you sign up that takes 2 second to do. It is an elite docu about him and explains him from a young child to the beginnings of Walt Disney World itself. (see full list below or here)
Now I’m on a mission to understand the inner workings of Mr. Disney and find new flicks to watch, the Reluctant Dragon(1941) for example.. never heard of it but Walt Disney made it! I also recently watched Swiss Family Robinson(1960) which was giving me the feel of Disney and the Tree-house that’s in place at Disneyland/World. Also last night I checked out Tomorrowland (2015) and immediately placed an order for a Tomorrowland pin, the movie was good at the beginning but got pretty boring after the halfway point.

One of the places we always hit at the end of the day during a trip to Epcot is Mexico! If all else reservations fail and we are not hungry during the journey we always know Mexico will be waiting for us. Now the food there is rather sub par being from Texas but the scenery, themed restaurant and tequila bar on the inside is an epic sight. Check out my journey below for a few photos of what to find inside! I did this back in October 2014 during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival.

Was surely busy and thousands of people no doubt, but the mini Epcot Food booths moved quicked and their stuff down. The plants native to the countries planted near each booth was an AWESOME Epcot touch.. I can’t wait to go back in a few years. So much good food and merchandise, I didn’t do the passport but I don’t think I missed anything by not doing it either.. it was way to hot and long lines to wait and grab one.
This was an awesome event and I’m glad Epcot stepped up to the plate.. will post photos of some of the booths and what not!

It’s about $80 for a couple Grey Gooses and Sushi Rolls… but hey it’s an Airport.. for some reason their prices have to be jacked up right? For no reason at all? Because your at an “airport” the prices have got to be higher…. EXTORTION at it’s finest.
But hey.. the bartender was fast, the chefs didn’t know what gluten was and still got served battered fries/sweet potato fries.. but hey that’s my fault I should know what’s in their ingredients they serve. The sushi is rolled by an amateur and loosely packed and seems like it was her first day making sushi… it was the only gluten-free option besides Wendy’s burgers with no buns so I made it work.
good thing the vodka kicked in.. good thing the vodka kicked in….
