Branson was an alright town, it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t a place I’d want to come back to unless I’m 90 or I’m coming to Silver Dollar City. The gluten free scene is non-existent and the overall quality of things is eh C-, I’d rather splurge on Vegas and get the same thing. But driving back we found an awesome little Lake Shop called Fergusons that had some awesome food.
+no gluten free bread or menu
Headed back to Little Rock from Branson we got quite hungry and wanted to find somewhere to stop and eat, sure enough we passed this place and said hmm let’s turn around and check it out. It reminds me of a place back in Texas you hit up before you float the river with a very homey vibe and gives you a sense of adventure.
The service was not bad, the restaurant is real small and has a bunch of flea market same stuff you find at any gift shop kind of stuff to buy. The food however was excellent, I’m not sure if everything is homemade but it sure seemed like it. I got a burger with no bun/fries, the meat was seasoned perfectly (small burger) however extremely tasty with cheese + bacon, nom. The fries seemed to be also fresh cut and excellent flavoring especially with ketchup.
Only reason I knocked off a star was the lady at the front who proclaimed to be from Ireland was eating the entire time we were trying to check out. We let these older people go ahead of us and then she started chatting up a storm to them while we waited and then soon as they were done she sat back down and started eating while we were literally staring at her to check out like “hello”, finally we made it out. Other that that Ferguson’s is a gem.
Thanks for checking out Branson Week, Chillin out until next week.
